I wrote and produced a documentary, ‘Granite & Chalk’, for the Irish Film Board.
The film uses declassified intelligence documents to tell the little known story of how two spies, code named Granite and Chalk, infiltrated Irish rebels preparing for the 1916 Easter Rising. If Britain had acted on the information they gave, history could have been very different.
Directed by Patrick Hodgins and featuring animation by Stephen McNally, the film premiered at the Dublin International Film Festival. It is currently on its festival run and has been shown around the world from Los Angeles to Moscow.
It is due to be shown on Ireland’s national broadcaster RTE and is distributed by Wildcard.
